
Jacksonville Linux Users' Group (JaxLUG)
The JaxLUG is a diverse assembly of Linux users from beginners, casual desktop users, system administrators, developers, and IT professionals.
The group has a passion for supporting Linux and Free Open Source Software (FOSS) and live in the Jacksonville Florida Area.
The JaxLUG, originally started by Daniel Stringfield in 1996, and is led by Officers, who are elected annually.

JaxLUG Meetings
The JaxLUG meets every 3rd Wednesday of every month, conditions permiting.
We are temporarily meeting at the SouthEast Regional Library 10599 Deerwood Park Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
The meeting begins with social intermingling at 6:00PM, fallowed by introductions, then the presentations start at 6:30 PM. JaxLUG meeting presenters and topics vary,
from month to month, you can take a look at our Past Meeting History to see some of the topics. The presentation for the current month will be displayed in the
"Next Meeting" section of this page.
The (Linux Users Social Hour) LUSH is a gathering of the members after each meeting. Is held at a local restaurant determined by the presentor. We gather to continue conversations on a wide range of topics. Have some food, drinks and conversations.
Be a Presenter at a meeting
Anyone, be it local, outsider, hobbyist, professional, student, or other, is welcome to be a presenter at any of our monthly meetings. With a topic of their choosing, or one the group has requested. Simply provide a Title and a Synopsis of the presentation to Christian, Ralph, or Ramon. Please, provide adequate time for us to post the presentation Title and Synopsis in our many plataforms for social media.
Post a question in Google Groups
If you are New to Linux, don't worry, we have a google groups to answer all your basic questions. You can also meet people with similar hobbies, interests, and backgrounds. Learn about a topic your interested and join a discussions in the JaxLUG Google Group. The Group receives announcements and event updates thru the Google Groups. So, you can keep up to date with the group events.

We have a Discord Server where you can get event information, contacts, tech news, and other events in the area. You can also become part of the comminuty by joining the JaxLUG server. Meeting Format
- 6:00 PM - Regular arrival, Setup
- 6:15 PM - JaxLUG Old/New biz, Other local events, Introductions.
- 6:30 PM - Presentation, Topics, Q&A time.
- 8:30 PM - Conclusion, Summary, and clean-up.
- 8:45 PM - Linux Users' Social Hour (LUSH)
